 1:Is there a limit to how much I can spend on a single transaction using Tamara?


It depends on your shopping history with Tamara. The maximum limit could reach SAR 4000.


 2:How do I make a payment?


To pay via Tamara:

- Select Tamara and choose the Split in 3 option at checkout

- Log in using your mobile number and verify via one-time password 

- Enter your details and complete your first payment

- Pay the rest after receiving your order, over the course of 2 months that follow via the app


You must be 18 years of age or older to use Tamara.

 4:How does Tamara work?


Tamara’s “Split in 3” payments option allows you to divide your bill into 3 interest-free payments: one payment when you order, the rest over the course of the two months that follow.

 5:Can I pay before the due date?


Yes, you can. Log in to your account using the Tamara app (https://tamara.co/tamara-app.html) or the web app (https://app.tamara.co/), select the orders you'd like to pay for, then make your payment using your preferred method: Mada, Visa, Master Card, or even Apple Pay.


 6:Can I pay with a different card?


Yes! Select your payment method. Then, log in to your Tamara account, go to Settings, find Payments Methods, and add a different card. 


*Kindly note that the new card should not be registered under a different Tamara account*


7:How will I know when I need to pay?


Your payment plan will show at checkout. You will also receive it via email from Tamara upon order confirmation. In addition, you will receive payment reminders over SMS and push notifications from the Tamara app. 


8:The payment is due, but I haven't received my order. Why?


Your first payment is due upon ordering items, not receiving the goods. If you have any questions or concerns, kindly reach out to the Tamara Customer Care team for support.


 9:Are there any late fees? What happens if I miss a payment?


Tamara imposes a late fee of SAR/AED 25 a day after the due date and SAR/AED 25 every 15 days after. Fees are limited to SAR/AED 150 or 25% of the order value (the minimum of the two options will be applied). 


Please note: if you have multiple payment delays, you will be reported to the credit bureau in Saudi Arabia (SIMAH) or AECB in the UAE. This will impact your credit score and will lead to your suspension from Tamara.  


REFUND


10:What if I want to return my purchase?


Returns and cancellations are subject to the store’s order policies. You can request a cancellation/return from the merchants themselves. 


Cancellation before order shipment:


If the refund method selected is your payment account and your order cancellation request is approved by the store, the store will inform Tamara of the update. Tamara will automatically adjust your payment plan and refund the relevant amount if applicable.


Please note that:

- The Tamara app may take a couple of hours to reflect the update - this will only occur upon the store’s approval of your request. 

- If you have requested that your refund be made to your wallet, you will still be required to pay Tamara your pending payments for the order.





Returning items: 


If you select a money return method through your payment account, the store will inform Tamara once the item has been returned. Tamara will update your account accordingly. 


If you already made payments to Tamara, a refund will be initiated within 24 hours of the status update. However, if you are yet to make any payments, the payment plan will be automatically adjusted to reflect the updated order value and remaining payments. 


Please note that:

-      The Tamara app may take a couple of hours to reflect the update - this will only occur once the store receives their returned item.  

- If you requested that your refund be made to your wallet, you will still be required to pay Tamara your pending payments for the order. 


 11: How do I get a refund?


It depends on the refund method you have selected and your refund request. The payment amount will be added to your account and/or updated on the Tamara app after the approval of your refund request.

Please note: you will still be required to pay Tamara if you requested that the refund be made to your wallet. Repeated missed payments will lead to being reported to the relevant authorities. 


 12: If the payment has been refunded, how do I update the invoice for a refund on my Tamara account?


The invoice on your Tamara account will update automatically if you have selected your payment account as your preferred return method. Please note that you will still be required to pay Tamara your pending dues if you have requested that the refund is made to your wallet.
